Builder Warranties
Most of the furniture available through Amish First Furniture is backed by the individual builder's manufacturer's warranty.
Because each Amish builder operates independently, warranty terms and coverage may vary between manufacturers.
If you have questions about the warranty for a specific product before purchasing, we encourage you to contact us.
What Is Typically Covered
Most builder warranties cover defects resulting from:
- Defects in workmanship
- Manufacturing defects
- Faulty materials
- Structural failures during normal residential use
- Defective hardware supplied by the manufacturer

What Is Not Typically Covered
Builder warranties generally do not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Improper assembly

- Damage caused by moving the furniture
- Damage caused by improper humidity or environmental conditions
- Natural wood movement

Natural Wood Characteristics
Solid hardwood is a living, natural material.
Variations in wood grain, color, mineral streaks, knots, and seasonal movement are normal characteristics of genuine hardwood furniture and are not considered manufacturing defects.
Every piece is unique, making handcrafted Amish furniture one of a kind.
Upholstery & Fabric
Natural variations in leather, fabric, and upholstery materials are normal and are not considered defects.
Over time, leather and fabric may soften or develop character through normal use.
Wood Finish
Wood finishes are applied by skilled craftsmen and may vary slightly due to:
- Wood species
- Natural grain
- Stain absorption
- Lighting conditions
- Computer monitor or mobile device settings
Minor variations are considered part of the handcrafted nature of custom furniture.
Filing a Warranty Claim
If you believe your furniture has a manufacturing defect, please contact us as soon as possible.

- Several clear photographs of the affected area
- Photographs of the entire product when applicable
Providing detailed information allows us to work with the builder more efficiently.
Warranty Resolution

- Replacement of the entire product when appropriate
Each claim is evaluated individually by the builder.
